This program provides monthly workshops to educate our communities in South King County about food waste reduction, specifically through composting of food and yard waste. We built a composting system for food and yard waste at the Living Well Kent greenhouse in Auburn where the program participants bring their materials to create fertile composted soil that they’ll then be able to utilize to grow their crops in the greenhouse.

We are currently seeking funding to extend this valuable program past June 2021.
