Through the Health and Wellness Fair, our community members learn about their mental and physical health and receive information about vaccines and the well-being of their families. 

We are excited to present our plans for the Health and Wellness Fair, and with the help of your valued contribution, we aim to provide our community with the information and resources they deserve.

About Mother Africa

Mother Africa is committed to leadership building, advocacy, and community action by providing our community with the chance to navigate and overcome barriers. Barriers include and are not limited to accessing healthcare, education, safety, and economic independence. Mother Africa aims to fulfill its work by fostering an empowering environment that celebrates cultural diversity, families, and socio-economic growth.

Who is our community? 
The communities we serve are refugees and immigrants from over 20 countries in Africa and the Middle East. They speak: Arabic, French, Swahili, Mai Mai, Lingala, Amharic, Tigrinya, Dari, and Farsi. Most importantly, they call King County "home."

Mother Africa's 2022 Health and Wellness Fair witnessed 750 community members in 3 hours with 30 providers offering their services. Community members that will attend include refugees and immigrants from over 20 countries in Africa and the Middle East. The event serves different age groups, from 5-year-olds to elders 55 years and older. Mother Africa's Health and Wellness Fair aims at serving and giving resources to all community members and their families.

Sponsorship Options

Mother Africa offers six sponsorship levels; depending on the chosen level, the investment return will change.

Sponsorship will take the form of monetary donations and in-kind donations. Unfortunately, our community does not usually have the chance to check on themselves or their family's health. Therefore, Mother Africa wants to provide its community members with trusted information and the time to check and prioritize their health.
